Dae Seok Eom Awarded New Grant to Study the Cellular and Moelcular Basis of Long-Distance Cell-Cell Signaling
Eom lab is awarded an NIH MIRA R35 grant to study the cellular and molecular basis of long-distance cell-cell signaling via novel long cellular protrusions.
With this grant, Eom lab will explore mechanistic aspects of an essential intercellular signaling process that underlies critical steps in the environment and developmental programs of cell responses.
The studies will not only expand our view of fundamental strategies employed in intercellular signaling but also could provide a basis for detecting where biomedicine might be able to intervene in the process when signaling goes awry in human pathophysiology.
