Congratulations to Sydney Prange for receiving a a predoctoral raining fellowship award from the CIRM Scholars Comprehensive Training Program.
This program focuses on developing leaders in the fields of stem cells, gene therapy, and regenerative medicine.
Sydney is a 2nd year PhD student in the Thompson-Peer Lab and studies neuronal dendrite regeneration in the context of neurodegenerative disease using neurons of the Drosophila melanogaster PNS as a model system.
Sydney’s research seeks to better understand neurodegenerative disorders and neuronal regeneration at the cellular level.
